A Year in Review - 2023
Dec 31, 2023 | 2 min read
Here are a few of our closing thoughts on an amazing year for RADIX.wiki and the Radix ecosystem in general. At a high level, our visitor numbers grew 30% per month and hailed from nearly 100 countries, suggesting that awareness of Radix is speed-running the paths already laid down by Bitcoin, Ethereum and other pioneers.
Highlights from 2023
While a few of the things we’ve tried haven’t worked (Forum anyone?), a lot of initiatives have turned out better than we could have hoped:
- Generated over 20k pageviews from 50+ articles covering Radix technology and related topics, as well as curating 100+ project and talent profiles.
- Grew our Twitter / X following 10x with the help of our partners like Nelly Sayon and London Crypto Club as well as podcasters like Jspeak.
On the business side, we listed 50+ open positions on our Jobs page to connect talent with opportunities. Linking job listings to projects in April also helped to increase the collision rate.
In June, the team doubled (!) when James Smith was added to the team. James grew RDX Works from 55 people to 110 in <12 months as well as driving their employer branding and recruitment marketing strategy. He is now in charge of business development as well as the recruitment side of the wiki. 🔥
As part of our commitment to the ecosystem, we joined the #RunsOnRadix program in July. We also hosted a successful Babylon mainnet launch party in London attended by ~100 people. Shardspace gave live demos showcasing the technology.
October was a breakthrough month for us, smashing our previous records in pageviews and maintaining our growth trajectory. We also acquired a significant portion of the $EMOON supply, adopting it as a governance token and thereby avoid any market dilution. Additionally, we introduced a News page, offering rolling updates from the Radix ecosystem and integrated CaviarNine’s token swap widget onto our front page.
November was marked by the inception of our NFT collection, starting with four from the 'God Eater Cerberus' collections on Impahla.
The Stage Is Set for an Exciting 2024
While some Layer 1 competitors gained traction in 2023, we believe Radix and its community will break through in 2024. With its superior tech and passionate builders, Radix has laid the foundation to become a leading smart contract platform in the space.
As we enter 2024, the Radix ecosystem has incredible developer momentum. With core infrastructure in place after Babylon, we are seeing projects deliver real utility just three months after mainnet launch.
We are more excited than ever about the future of Radix. To continue building community and drive adoption, we plan to organize a Global Radix Hackathon in 2024 👀.
Thank you for being part of our 2023 journey. Here's to an amazing year ahead! 🎉 💙
