Ciggie Puffs is a collection of 10,000 generative NFTs on Radix, each a cartoon monkey with a cigarette and a one-line caption. All 10,000 were minted on 8 October 2026 and announced in the Radix Telegram group the next day. The collection was not sold: its makers split it into thirds for holders of the CIGGIE token, people who lost funds in the Hyperlane asset drain of 31 August 2026, and the Radix DAO.

Art stored on the ledger

Most NFT collections, on Radix and elsewhere, keep their images on a web server or IPFS and store only a link on-chain (see NFTs on Radix). Ciggie Puffs stores the code that draws every monkey instead. The CiggiePuffs component holds a key-value store of three chunks, about 900 KB in all according to the announcement, and a flag reading sealed, so the bundle can no longer be changed. Each NFT needs only its number to be drawn from it.

The pictures move. Per the announcement, the eyes, smoke, background and caption of each monkey respond to Ociswap prices for $XRD, CIGGIE, EARLY and OCI, to network volume and to the holding wallet, which the collection site reads from the Radix Gateway each time a monkey is viewed. There is no oracle or backend in that loop.

Each NFT also carries the standard key_image_url field, which points at a still image on the project's web host, so that wallets and marketplaces that do not run the drawing code can show a picture. That copy depends on the host staying up; the on-ledger bundle does not.

Supply and distribution

The Ciggie Puffs resource has a supply of 10,000. Its minting role belongs to the collection's own on-ledger code rather than to an account, and the component records a maximum supply of 10,000 with all 10,000 minted. Burning, freezing and recall are all disabled.

The CIGGIE holders' third had been airdropped by the time of the announcement. The other two were still to go out: the share for drain victims was reserved, and the DAO's share awaited the DAO's acceptance. On 11 October 2026 the NFTs sat in 91 accounts, one of which held 6,685.

A preview ran on Stokenet, the Radix test network, before the mainnet launch.
