Overview

Bio Protocol (formerly Bio.xyz) describes itself as DeSci's new financial layer, engineered to commercialize the best science, faster. The platform incubates and funds specialized biotech DAOs (BioDAOs), each focused on a specific disease area or scientific domain, creating an ecosystem of decentralized research organizations.

The platform raised over $33 million through Bio Genesis in November 2024, with Binance Labs making its first DeSci investment. The BIO token market cap exceeded $200 million by November 2023.
