Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of RADIX.wiki (our site), whether you read it, contribute to it, or reach it through its API, MCP server, feeds or llms.txt files. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

They incorporate our Privacy Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy and our editorial policies.

About us

Our site is owned and operated by the RADIX.wiki DAO (we, us). You can contact us by direct message to @RadixWiki on X.

Using the site

Reading the site is free and needs no account. We do not guarantee that the site, or any part of it, will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

The site is a wiki: anyone who meets the requirements can edit it, so any page may be incomplete, out of date or wrong at a given moment. Check the page history and the cited sources before relying on anything you read here.

Not financial advice

The site documents crypto-assets, decentralised applications, prices and on-ledger data. All of it is general information. None of it is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset, or an endorsement of any project, and no listing on the site implies one. Prices and charts come from third-party sources and may be delayed or wrong. Crypto-assets are high-risk and you can lose everything you put in. Contributors may hold interests in what they write about; our conflict of interest policy governs how they disclose them. Make your own decisions, and take independent advice where you need it.

Reusing our content

Unless a page says otherwise, the text on our site is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, adapt and redistribute it, commercially or not, provided you credit RADIX.wiki, link to the page you used, and indicate if you changed it. The same licence covers content obtained through the API, the MCP server, the feeds and the llms.txt files.

The licence does not cover:

• the RADIX.wiki name and logo, or the trade marks of Radix and of the projects the site describes;
• third-party material quoted, embedded or reproduced on the site, including images, videos and posts hosted elsewhere, which remain under their owners' terms.

Your contributions

You keep the copyright in what you contribute. By submitting a contribution (text, an image, a comment or a revision) you:

• license it to everyone under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0), and agree that credit through the page's revision history, or a link to the page, is sufficient attribution;
• grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to host, store, reproduce, format, excerpt, convert, display and distribute it in connection with the site and its other formats (including feeds, markdown versions, the MCP server and backups on the Radix ledger), which continues after your account ends;
• confirm that you have the right to grant both licences, that the contribution complies with our Acceptable Use Policy, and that any third-party material in it is credited and is either licensed on compatible terms or used as quotation under fair dealing.

Contributions are irrevocable. Each one is published with your display name or shortened account address and kept in the revision history, as the Privacy Policy explains. When you move text from one page to another, name the source page in your revision message so its authors stay credited.

You are responsible for your contributions. We are not responsible for the accuracy of content posted by other users, and their views are not ours.

Your account and sign-in

Our site does not issue passwords and does not operate a user identification code. Contributors sign in with a Radix Wallet under ROLA (Radix Off-Ledger Authentication): our server issues a short-lived random challenge, your wallet signs it, and we verify that signature against the public key of the account you present. A successful verification creates a session that expires after seven days. Your account is identified by its Radix address; we never receive, hold or store a private key, a seed phrase or a password. We will never ask you for one, and anyone who does in our name is not us.

Because the credential is a key you hold rather than a secret we issue, we cannot reset it, recover it, or reverse anything signed with it. Keeping your seed phrase and your device secure is your responsibility. If you believe your account has been compromised, secure it in the wallet itself, for example by securifying the account, which changes the factors that control it, and tell us so that contributions made from it can be suspended.

Some areas of the site require a minimum XRD balance in the account you sign in with. We only read balances; we never initiate a transaction from your account.

Transactions on the Radix ledger

Some features (tipping, backing a page up to the ledger) build a transaction that you review and sign in your own wallet. We never hold your assets or your keys. Check every transaction in your wallet before you sign it. Once committed, a transaction is final: it cannot be reversed by us or anyone else, and it costs network fees that you pay.

Contributor rewards

We may, at our discretion, reward contributors with XRD according to points the site calculates. Rewards are a gift, not payment for services: there is no entitlement to them, and we may change, pause or end the scheme, or change how points are calculated, at any time. Points are not a token or an asset and have no monetary value. We may withhold rewards from accounts that game the scoring or breach our Acceptable Use Policy. You are responsible for any tax due on what you receive.

Rules of conduct

You must use the site in line with our Acceptable Use Policy. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or its database, introduce malicious code, or attack it by denial of service; doing so may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and we will report it and co-operate with the authorities.

Automated access is welcome through the API, the MCP server, the feeds and the llms.txt files, within their published rate limits. Do not circumvent those limits or load the site in a way that degrades it for others.

We may remove any contribution, end any session, and withdraw the right to contribute from any account, if in our reasonable opinion it breaches these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

Reporting content and copyright complaints

If you believe content on the site is unlawful, infringes your rights or breaches our Acceptable Use Policy, send us the page address, the passage concerned and the reason by direct message to @RadixWiki on X. For a copyright or trade mark complaint, also identify the work and confirm that you own it or are authorised to act for its owner. We review every report, act on it where it is justified, and may tell the contributor concerned. The same route handles complaints about a decision we have made.

Links and embedded content

You may link to any page on our site, provided you do not suggest an association with, or endorsement by, us that does not exist. The site may not be displayed inside a frame on another site.

Links and embeds on our site lead to resources run by others. We do not control them and are not responsible for them or for any loss from using them.

Our liability

The site is provided free of charge and as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations about it and its content, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, or from reliance on its content, including any loss from a decision to buy, sell or hold any asset, from a transaction you sign, or from malicious code reaching your device.

If you use the site for business, we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that the law does not allow to be excluded. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms by amending this page and updating the date at the top. Revised terms apply from the moment they are published; continuing to use the site after that means you accept them. Every earlier version is kept in this page's history.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising from them or from your use of the site, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, that jurisdiction is non-exclusive: if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there, and if you live elsewhere you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country.
