Signaling & Relay Services RFP

Overview

Two critical infrastructure services are being transitioned from Foundation to community/commercial operators via RFPs opened February 3, 2026:

• Signaling Server — establishes peer-to-peer WebRTC connections between the Radix Wallet mobile app and the Chrome desktop connector extension. Requires <300ms global latency, strict privacy (no payload inspection), and handling ~6,000 concurrent peak connections.
• Connect Relay (RCR) — buffers encrypted messages between mobile browsers and the Radix Wallet app. Requires end-to-end encryption, aggressive rate limiting (600s TTL), and DDoS mitigation.
