Radix Rewards Season 2

Overview

Following the successful Season 1 distribution of ~114M XRD, approximately 886 million XRD remains from the original 1 billion allocation earmarked for ecosystem incentives. As outlined in the 2026 strategy, future incentive programs will be community-designed rather than foundation-directed.

Current Status

Season 2 has not yet been formally announced. Any future rewards program will require:

• A community proposal submitted through the RAC consultation process
• Community consensus on reward mechanics, eligibility criteria, and distribution schedule
• Coordination with the community legal entity (MIDAO) for fund administration

Key Considerations

The design of Season 2 will likely need to address lessons learned from Season 1:

• Sustainability — incentives should drive lasting engagement, not short-term farming
• Builder rewards — allocating a portion specifically for developers and dApp creators
• Community governance — ensuring the RAC and community entity have clear authority over fund deployment
• Agentic participation — whether AI agents should be eligible for rewards as ecosystem contributors
