Gateway Service Decentralization

Overview

As part of the 2026 decentralization transition, the Radix Foundation opened RFPs for three critical infrastructure services:

Babylon Gateway

The Gateway API that indexes the ledger and powers wallets and dApps. ~2TB database with ~60GB/month growth. Target 99.9% uptime, <1s query latency.

Signalling Server

WebRTC matchmaker for wallet-to-dApp connections. <300ms global latency, stateless with Redis, ~6,000 concurrent connections.

Connect Relay

Mobile-to-mobile connection relay. 600s TTL messages, end-to-end encryption mandatory.

Proposals are submitted on RadixTalk. Successful operators must guarantee current usage levels for the Radix Wallet and Dashboard. Commercialization for heavy consumers (data aggregators, institutional integrators) is explicitly encouraged.
