Overview
The final phase of Radix's 2026 decentralization strategy envisions full community control of funding allocation and distribution via on-chain governance. Community members will submit proposals for funding in marketing, code, or business development, with the ecosystem voting on priorities.
Transition Path
Phase 1 (Current) — Foundation Administered
Foundation maintains security, reviews PRs, and runs non-binding consultations to gauge community sentiment while governance structures are designed.
Phase 2 — Community-Initiated RFPs
Community proposes and votes on RFPs for marketing, partnerships, integrations, and incentive structures.
Phase 3 — Full Decentralization
On-chain governance (DAO/Multi-sig) controls allocation and distribution of funding. The Foundation's brand, trademarks, and IP transfer to community custody via blind trusts or DAO-controlled entities.
