DelphiBets is a decentralized prediction market protocol that allows users to place bets on future events. It is the first prediction market protocol exclusively built on Radix. The platform utilizes its native token, $DPH, and provides a smart contract interface designed to reward user participation, commitment, and dedication.
Etymology
The project's name derives from the ancient city of Delphi, renowned in Greek mythology as the center of the world where the Oracle made future predictions and prophecies.
History
The concept of DelphiBets was founded with the idea of creating a decentralized platform where users can measure their predictive capabilities against others. Taking inspiration from the Oracle of Delphi, the team aimed to create a platform where proof of successful predictions could be provided.
The project was developed in stages, beginning with the ideation and validation phase, and moving through prototyping, community engagement, and smart contract development, before concluding with the launch of the protocol alongside the Babylon upgrade of the Radix DLT.
Tokenomics
The platform's native token, DPH, is used for participating in predictions, staking, governance, and more. The total supply of DPH tokens is capped at 99,999,999. The distribution of tokens is as follows:
- 40% for Incentives & Rewards
- 24% for Airdrops & Sales
- 24% for Team & Development
- 8% for Marketing & Other
- 4% for Advisors & Consultants
As of the current state, the DPH token is listed on various exchanges including OCISWAP, DogeCubeX, CaviarSwap, RadixPlanet, Astrolescent, and DSOR.
