# Apollo Pool

| Apollo Pool | |
| --- | --- |
| **Type** | Radix validator node |
| **Status** | 🟢 Active – registered, in the active set, accepting delegations |
| **Validator address** | [`validator_rdx1s0t…zv6h2aahj`](https://dashboard.radixdlt.com/network-staking/validator_rdx1s0txh4cx4nd7eh5nsxyt7h7njja5galwj602x57e9r2dszv6h2aahj) |
| **Total stake** | 11,321,521.28 XRD – rank 68 of 186 registered validators |
| **Validator fee** | 100% charged since epoch 342,116, 19 September 2026 (the stored `validator_fee_factor` reads `0.2` – see below) |
| **Uptime (7d)** | 99.11% |
| **Owner badge** | Held by a component of the `AccessManager` blueprint rather than by an account |
| **Website** | None. The domain the validator names on ledger, `apollopool.io`, was registered by someone else on 23 August 2026 |
| **On-ledger** | Read from the [Radix Gateway](/contents/tech/core-protocols/radix-gateway-api) at mainnet epoch 342,387 (20 September 2026, 03:04 UTC) |

**Apollo Pool** is a [validator node](https://dashboard.radixdlt.com/network-staking/validator_rdx1s0txh4cx4nd7eh5nsxyt7h7njja5galwj602x57e9r2dszv6h2aahj) on the [Radix](/contents/tech/core-protocols/radix-engine) network, one of the nodes that produce the network's rounds and that delegators stake [XRD](/contents/tech/core-protocols/xrd-token) to in order to earn [staking](/contents/tech/core-concepts/staking) emissions. It has run since the [Olympia](/contents/tech/releases/radix-mainnet-olympia) network and is still validating. Since 19 September 2026 it has charged a **100% validator fee**, so the 11.3 million XRD delegated to it earns its delegators nothing.

## Validator

Read from the [Radix Gateway](https://mainnet.radixdlt.com/state/validators/list) at mainnet **epoch 342,387** (20 September 2026, 03:04 UTC), Apollo Pool is **registered**, accepts delegated stake, and holds **11,321,521.28 XRD** – **rank 68 of the 186 registered validators**. Its uptime over the preceding week was 99.11%. Its stake units are `resource_rdx1t5d…ce5mup70s` and the claim receipts it issues for unstaking are `resource_rdx1nts…t7qd5hend3`.

The validator's owner badge, which is what authorises a change of fee or a deregistration, is not held by an ordinary account. It sits in a [component of the `AccessManager` blueprint](https://dashboard.radixdlt.com/component/component_rdx1cpy0yfx2skxcau5udfr2re6zp6usthv2s8pyztkhn7wdt06wgxfg4c), so the badge is exercised through that component's roles rather than by signing with a wallet key.

## The fee rise to 100%

Apollo Pool charged 20% until **epoch 342,116**, 04:29 UTC on 19 September 2026, when a queued fee change took effect and took the whole emission instead. A fee change on Radix is signed once and applies at a stated epoch, and this one was readable on ledger long before it arrived: the request is already present at epoch 336,101, 18 August 2026, which is the oldest epoch the Gateway still serves state for, so it stood for at least 6,015 epochs and across the [August halt](/contents/history/hyperlane-asset-drain-2026) before it landed. The interval between signing and the effective epoch is the window in which a delegator who does not want the new rate unstakes.

Almost nobody used it. Pinned reads of the validator's stake vault give 11,323,359.28 XRD at the epoch the fee took effect, 11,324,911.32 XRD nineteen hours later, and 11,321,521.28 XRD at epoch 342,387 a day after the change – a net 1,838 XRD withdrawn, 0.02% of the stake.

The node's own component still stores the old fee. Its `validator_fee_factor` reads `0.2`, because the engine rewrites that field only when the owner next calls `update_fee`; the register's `effective_fee_factor` is the field reporting the 100% actually charged, and a tool reading the stored one reports 20%. [Validator Nodes](/contents/tech/core-concepts/validator-nodes) sets out why the two fields disagree, and [Validator subsidy sunset](/contents/history/validator-subsidy-sunset) puts this increase in the queue of fee rises that followed the end of the Foundation's validator subsidy.

## The website

Apollo Pool publishes `https://www.ApolloPool.io` as its `info_url` on ledger, and that domain is no longer the operator's. The [registry record](https://rdap.identitydigital.services/rdap/domain/apollopool.io), read on 20 September 2026, gives a registration date of 23 August 2026, an expiry of 23 August 2027 and Cloudflare nameservers; both `apollopool.io` and `www.apollopool.io` answer HTTP 301 to an unrelated lottery site. Stake is delegated to the validator address rather than to the domain, so the node is unaffected, but a wallet or explorer that follows the on-ledger link reaches that site. Only the holder of the owner badge can change the field.

The Internet Archive holds the validator's own site from June 2021 to April 2025, [last captured in full on 17 March 2025](https://web.archive.org/web/20250317114202/https://www.apollopool.io/) under the title “Apollo Pool | Validator Node | RadixDLT”. That page describes a node run by three operators with backgrounds in cyber security, telecommunications, networking and project management, running on AWS with a backup full node for failover, and it prints the validator's Olympia-era address, `rv1qg2y0d4tau87nk3fu6j0frcwl4yc6tmwh7vduflmp9jvc989wemljtzd4sd`, with instructions for staking through the Radix Desktop Wallet. It states the fee as “a low 2.5% Validator Fee which strikes a balance between maximising rewards for delegators and ensuring a robust platform”, and carries a 2022 copyright line. Nothing has been captured since April 2025, and no wind-down was announced.

## How to stake

To delegate to Apollo Pool, open the [Radix Wallet](https://wallet.radixdlt.com), go to the Stake section, paste the validator address (`validator_rdx1s0t…zv6h2aahj`), enter the amount of XRD to delegate and confirm the transaction. At the current fee the validator keeps the whole emission, so stake delegated here accrues nothing; unstaking is subject to the network's standard unstaking delay.
