Radix attended as one of three diamond sponsors, with founder [Dan Hughes](/community/dan-hughes) and RDX Works CEO [Piers Ridyard](/community/piers-ridyard) speaking on the main stage. The sponsorship and the [Scrypto](/contents/tech/core-protocols/scrypto-programming-language) Hackathon that ran alongside it were [organised and led by the Radix Community Council](https://www.radixdlt.com/blog/european-blockchain-convention-event-highlights), not by RDX Works, and the Council also ran the booth on the floor. ## Panels Radix took three panels. Piers Ridyard joined "Insights From the Frontier of RWAs and DeFi" alongside Guillaume Chatain of Societe Generale-FORGE and Dr Avtar Sehra of Libre Capital. Dan Hughes spoke on "Developing a Blockchain-based Ecosystem to Create Traceable, Real & Permanent Climate Finance Investment" with Eduard Romulus Goean of Therme Group and Emillie Allaert of the Luxembourg Blockchain Lab, and again on "How to Scale DLT Infrastructure?" with representatives of ING, Santander and AAFME ([part one](https://youtu.be/TeXUSQhRYJ8?si=fquuf7pmDvuSLXhB), [part two](https://youtu.be/LAX_iMiiJRs?si=JIMQ8YD66S1qQNb7)). A fourth session, outside the Radix stand, had Therme Group advisor Ionut Corduneanu describing how the group came to use Radix for a carbon tokenomics model built with the University of Surrey. The Radix Community Council booth ran Hughes's [scalability](/contents/tech/core-concepts/sharding) demonstrations for the floor. Radix's recap reports convention attendance above 6,000 and names Santander, ING Bank, Mastercard, Societe Generale and BNP Paribas among the institutions present. ## The EBC Scrypto Hackathon The substance of the sponsorship was a 48-hour in-person hackathon, [advertised by the organiser](https://eblockchainconvention.com/hackathon/) for 250 participants with judging by the Radix team. Radix's recap records more than 150 developers taking part, most of them writing Scrypto for the first time and many arriving from other ecosystems, with community members flying in to mentor. Nineteen projects were submitted and five were placed. The prize ladder was advertised in USDT and recorded as paid in [XRD](/contents/tech/core-protocols/xrd-token) at the same dollar figures: 1. **[BondeFi](/ecosystem/bondefi)** ($10,000) – a launchpad running pre-sales on bonding curves, with full refunds if the goal is missed and automatic listing with locked liquidity at the token generation event. 2. **Radish** ($5,000) – a lending platform taking several collateral assets at once, so that one asset going to zero does not by itself cross the liquidation threshold. 3. **PAWNFT** ($3,000) – peer-to-peer loans secured on NFTs, with no automatic liquidation. 4. **Solarix** ($2,000) – tokenised solar panels, pairing owners with surplus generation against buyers and investors. 5. **radix.meme** ($1,000) – a memecoin launchpad. Radix reported that four of the five winners, plus several other teams, intended to keep building with RDX Works support and would move through the grants process toward mainnet.
