**Andy Jarrett** (Andrew John Jarrett) is the chief executive of **Radix Tokens (Jersey) Ltd**, the Jersey company that issues and holds [XRD](/contents/tech/core-protocols/xrd-token) under Jersey Financial Services Commission oversight, and since February 2025 the only serving director of the UK [Radix Foundation](/ecosystem/radix-foundation).

He is the least visible of the people this wiki covers and, on paper, currently the most consequential. [Dan Hughes](/community/dan-hughes) wrote the protocol, [Piers Ridyard](/community/piers-ridyard) made the commercial case, [Matthew Hine](/community/matthew-hine) wrote the design essays and [Adam Simmons](/community/adam-simmons) faced the community. Jarrett ran the regulated entity underneath all of it, published nothing under his own name, and is the one still there: as of 27 August 2026 he is the sole active officer of both live UK companies on the Foundation side of the group, and the register lists no other person with significant control over either.

## Radix Tokens (Jersey)

Radix Tokens (Jersey) Ltd is the entity the rest of the group is arranged around. The Foundation's own explainer of its [group of entities](https://www.radixdlt.com/articles-learn/what-is-the-radix-foundation-and-its-group-of-entities) describes it as wholly owned by the Foundation and responsible for token issuance under Jersey Financial Services Commission oversight, and says that "Andy Jarrett also serves as CEO of Radix Tokens Jersey and works closely with both compliance and the local regulator to make sure Radix Tokens Jersey is in compliance with the relevant local and EU regulations." It is a compliance seat rather than a product one, which is why he appears in filings and almost nowhere else.

A [Blockchain Expo Global speaker profile](https://blockchain-expo.com/global/speaker/andy-jarret/) from 2023 gives the same title and adds the background: involved in crypto from 2014, on the boards of [Instabridge](/ecosystem/instabridge) and of Instapass, the KYC/AML service built for Radix dApps, and — his own claim, and the detail worth checking against a primary source before it is repeated — "responsible for driving the crypto currency legislation in Jersey in 2015." Jersey's early virtual-currency regime predates Radix by several years; the profile is the source for his part in it, and no independent record of that role is cited here.

The one place the board is named is the [RTJL token holdings update of 4 March 2024](https://www.radixdlt.com/blog/rtjl-token-holdings-update), which states that all budgetary actions are subject to majority approval of the board and that "at this time, these directors are: Andy Jarrett, Lindsay Bracegirdle, James Cunningham-Davis, Piers Ridyard, and Dan Hughes." Two of those five have since died or resigned from every Radix-group role. Jersey does not publish a director list the way Companies House does, so that 2024 post remains the most recent public statement of who sits on it.

## What the UK register records

Four UK appointments carry his name, all of them at Radix-group companies registered first at 7 Bell Yard in London and later at 234 Victoria Road, Stoke-on-Trent. Read on 27 August 2026, the [officer record](https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/officers/7SX3GxdNZi1skxY7IsgQb3pg06w/appointments) gives them as:

| Company | Appointed | Ended | Company status |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Metabridge Ltd (13476191)](https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/13476191/officers) | 4 October 2021 | 14 February 2025 | Dissolved 17 February 2026 |
| [Radix Publishing (UK) Ltd (14955990)](https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/14955990/officers) | 23 June 2023 | – | Active |
| [Metaverse (Radix) Ltd (FC040852)](https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/FC040852) | 5 September 2023 | – | UK establishment closed 29 April 2026 |
| [The Radix Foundation (12106715)](https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/12106715/officers) | 10 February 2025 | – | Active |

Two of those four are live companies, and he is the only serving director of either. Radix Publishing (UK) Ltd was incorporated on 23 June 2023 with Jarrett and Hughes as its two directors and has had no others; Hughes's appointment there was terminated on 27 July 2025. The Foundation's officer list runs to five officers and four resignations, and the only active entry is his.

The [Foundation's PSC register](https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/12106715/persons-with-significant-control) tells the same story with one qualification worth stating precisely. Jarrett was notified on 10 February 2025 and is the only active person with significant control, but his declared nature of control is ownership of _more than 25% but not more than 50%_ of shares and voting rights, and he does not hold the right to appoint or remove directors that Ridyard's ceased entry recorded. Ridyard's control ceased on 31 January 2025 and Hughes's on 27 July 2025. So the register names one controller of a minority stake and accounts for nobody else.

The dates line up with the group's move offshore rather than with any change of role. Control of Radix Publishing (UK) Ltd passed to **Radix Foundation Limited**, a Jersey company registered 156362, in February 2025; Jarrett's Foundation directorship and his Metabridge resignation fall in the same week. The [Radix Foundation](/ecosystem/radix-foundation) page sets out the wider restructuring.

## The last director standing

Jarrett is named as CEO exactly once in the Foundation's public writing, and it is the hardest post it has published. The [announcement of 29 July 2025](https://www.radixdlt.com/blog/in-memory-of-dan-hughes-founder-of-radix) of [Dan Hughes's](/community/dan-hughes) death says that, as a first step, "Adam Simmons (Chief Strategy Officer) and Jonathan Day (Finance Director) will join Andy Jarrett (CEO) as Directors of the Radix Foundation." Neither of the two new directors appears on the UK company's officer list; as the [Adam Simmons](/community/adam-simmons) page sets out, an appointment to the Jersey parent would not show up there.

When the Foundation announced on [28 April 2026](https://www.radixdlt.com/blog/foundation-update-moving-to-maintenance-mode) that it was moving to maintenance mode, it named only Simmons among those stepping back and said the remaining directors continue "with financial and fiduciary oversight unaffected," carrying "the financial and governance functions required for the transition." The post does not name them. On the UK register there is one, and it is Jarrett.

That makes him the counterparty to the [DAO transition](/contents/tech/core-concepts/radix-governance) rather than a participant in it. The intention stated in the maintenance-mode post is that the remaining treasury transfers to a community entity once one exists, "subject to the legal and compliance steps any such transfer requires" — steps that run through the regulated Jersey issuer he runs. The [Radix Accountability Council](/ecosystem/radix-accountability-council) and the [charter](/contents/tech/core-concepts/radix-governance) describe the receiving side of that handover; the register describes the sending side, and it is one man.

He keeps no byline. The Radix blog has no author record under his name, and the group's named bylines stop altogether after 4 July 2025. What public trace he leaves is on [X as @andrewjarrett](https://x.com/andrewjarrett), posting as a chartered director interested in DeFi and Radix rather than as an officer of the issuer.
