## Overview

**IP-NFTs** (Intellectual Property [Non-Fungible Tokens](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-fungible_token)) represent legal rights to research intellectual property as on-chain tokens. Created by [Molecule](/ecosystem/molecule), the standard enables researchers to tokenize IP rights, which can then be governed by [DeSci DAOs](/contents/tech/desci/desci-daos).
